Karl Holliland
MBACP Person-centred Counsellor
I am a qualified person-centred counsellor registered with the BACP. I have completed advanced counselling theory, including Gestalt and Transactional Analysis.
My approach to counselling is one which focuses on your experience, exploring your feelings and ways of thinking in order to understand and prioritise what is important to you.
Working with me, you can expect a relaxed, calming environment and sense of safety and security which I hope will enable us to explore any difficult emotions you may be feeling.
With a genuinely empathetic, non-judgemental approach, my aim is to ensure you leave feeling more connected to who you really are.
About me and my qualifications:
I began my practice as a facilitator and coach in 2016. I began formal counselling training in 2021 and gained my CPCAB Level Four Diploma in Therapeutic Counselling in 2024. I completed a Level 5 Diploma in Psychotherapeutic Counselling in 2025.
What I can help with:
I am qualified to support clients with a wide range of issues, including relationship difficulties, common mental health issues such as anxiety and depression, and life problems such as bereavement or challenges at work. Whether you would like to explore issues from your past and personal history, focus on what is happening in your life right now, or consider how you might like your future to look, I will be pleased to support you in doing so.
I am able to offer adults over 18 years of age, 16 weekly fifty-minute sessions of short-term therapy. This can be further extended if needed
