About my therapy practice
You may have started searching for support for yourself / your young person for the first time today, or perhaps you’ve had negative experiences of seeking help in the past and are thinking about trying again. I genuinely care about and enjoy working with my clients. The sessions I offer are confidential, without judgement, and defined by working together as a team. I’m dedicated to helping you to achieve positive change in experiences such as: anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, relationship difficulties, demotivation, and intense fluctuation in emotions.
Alongside my private practice, I'm an experienced clinician within National & Specialist CAMHS at the Maudsley in London. My NHS work with sixth formers in their school setting makes me ideally suited to working with clients of all ages as they navigate academic, professional, social, and emotional crossroads. I'm trained in Cognitive Behaviour Therapy, Acceptance & Commitment Therapy, Dialectical Behaviour Therapy, and Compassion Focused Therapy. I integrate ideas from across these models to ensure sessions offer a bespoke match with your personal therapy goals, strengths, interests, personality, and values.
I’m mindful that therapy sessions are just 50 minutes in your busy week. I empower clients to ask me questions and to practise new skills in between sessions. When working with young people, my expertise in liaising with parents/carers, schools, and other professionals ensures a joined-up approach across systems. My ultimate aim is for you and/or your young person to feel confident to take forward what you have learned in therapy independently, long after sessions with me have come to an end.
Qualifications & experience
I have over a decade’s worth of experience working in the NHS and qualified as a Clinical Psychologist in 2018 (Doctorate in Clinical Psychology, University College London). I'm registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) so you can have confidence that my work adheres to the very highest ethical standards.
Since qualifying, I have supported teenagers, adults, and their families across a range of inpatient mental health, A&E crisis care, and community contexts. As a result, I am committed to and skilled at communicating with you in a calm, engaging, jargon-free way.
